Seattle graduation vacation

Jeremy and I met up in Seattle for three days to have a little vacation and attend his graduation. First we drove by his old house and fun reminiscing about his experiences at psychiatric hospitals in Seattle. The sun came out just in time for us to spend an hour or two walking around Greenlake. We watched the kayakers, heron, and turtles. Beautiful afternoon!
Next we made our way over to the West Point Lighthouse at Discovery Park. This is the least visitor friendly lighthouse I've visited, but the views were great and it was nice to be down on the beach for a bit.
Saturday, we headed out to the Space Needle for brunch. Extraordinary views, a nice restaurant (it rotates so you get a 360 degree view from your table), a quick nap on the grass were the perfect way to spend the afternoon. We could even see Mount Rainier in the distance.
That evening was Jeremy's graduation from his psychiatry residency. He spent two years in Seattle and two years in Boise through the UW program. So proud of him for making it through 8 years of school with a smile on his face!
Sunday we went to church in downtown Seattle and then headed out to Bridal Veil Falls. This involved a lot more driving that we had expected (especially considering the traffic jam on the way home). But the forest and falls were amazing and nothing like what you find here in Utah. I enjoyed putting my new raincoat to use (birthday present from J).
We both had a nice weekend in Seattle, especially since we didn't have to do any work or school and could just enjoy our time together. Obviously we had a lot of time to take pictures of each other, but it sure is fun with his fancy camera (until about the 100th picture, and then I'm not the most willing participant). Good times!
